[edit]From the article:
and may have been inspired by Tony Lecomber, an older member who has been convicted for offences under the Explosives Act. [1]
I thoght that Lecomber was a BNP member now? If no-one can provide a cite for Lecomber being/having been an NSM member, or for Copeland being influenced by him, this should be removed. -- Karada 10:11, 9 Oct 2003 (UTC)
You're correct, Lecomber is one of the main figures in the BNP, however this doesn't mean he wasn't a NSM member, since the BNP gained many supporters from the other extreme right organisations around.
Formation and Leadership
[edit]I've amended the article to correct some things, giving detailed references. David Myatt together with Steve Sargatn founded the NSM, and Myatt was the first leader until March when he resigned following his arrest in Feb 1998 by detectives from SO12 Scotland Yard. Contrary to unproven rumors, Myatt had resigned before the Searchlight article of April 1998 and which article made allegations concerning Occult involvement (see Myatt's autobiography Myngath). That Searchlight article did not provide any evidence for the allegations of Occult invovlement and so I've deleted mention of it as IMO it's not relevant give these circumstances and seems like weasel speak to me. If someone disagrees with this, and wants to re-insert it, then to maintain NPOV a rider should be added making it clear that its an allegation which Myatt denies.
