Block message:
TOR proxy
Decline reason: Please disable your use of the TOR proxy. TOR proxies are used abusively to attack Wikipedia. — Yamla 16:35, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

Request reason:
I can understand why you block edits from anonymous users via a Tor proxy. But why on earth are you blocking my edits even if I'm logged in? This removes my anonymity to you, while still leaving it intact for traffic-watching third parties. Well, I guess this way you won't get many more contributions from me, because I'm not willing to give up my privacy (regarding traffic analysis from third parties) just for this project. Please also have a look at http://tor.eff.org/ for an explanation about what Tor is and does.
Decline reason:
Yes, we know perfectly well what TOR is. We have a huge problem with many people regularly creating multiple sockpuppet accounts to evade bans and push ideological agendas to falsely give the impression of popular support when trying to reach consensus in a dispute. Allowing the use of TOR interferes with our ability to perform a CheckUser in order to combat such abuse. Unfortunately this is nothing more we can do about the IP block until a workaround has been implemented to prevent TOR being used to abuse Wikipedia. -- Netsnipe ► 17:51, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Note to myself: Tried to fix Lunation Number ... maybe later, maybe not. -- Tengai 17:35, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Tengai. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Tengai~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
